When you purchase a car from an individual seller you typically complete a bill of sale with that seller. The bill of sale is legal proof of ownership of the vehicle. Usually the seller signs over the title for the vehicle as well. If you did not get a title with your bill of sale, you may still be able to get a title on the car in your state. Not all states allow this and the requirements involved in the process of gaining your title of ownership can be exhausting. If you provide one of our Certified Field Agents with a Bill of Sale and your basic information, they will be able to retrieve this document for you.
