If you’re looking for flexible job that provides new challenges every day and lets you work as much or as little as you’d like, you should definitely look into becoming a certified field agent. A certified field agent is basically an individual who serves as an official representative of a company or individual to complete certain tasks on their behalf. Certified Field Agent is just one of the many companies that could employ you in this capacity. Our business focuses on document retrieval, especially medical and dental records. Here is an overview of the basic qualifications you’ll need to begin working for us.
As a certified field agent, you’ll be your own boss. You’ll need to have a good work ethic, solid time-management skills, and an ability to motivate yourself to meet the deadlines for completing various projects. A willingness and ability to communicate frequently and clearly will also be required.
In general, someone who already has a 9 to 5 job isn’t a good candidate for becoming a certified field agent. Field agents often need to visit medical facilities or government offices during business hours in order to retrieve files, so you need to have a flexible schedule that will allow you to go wherever the work takes you in a timely manner. You will also need to have a valid drivers license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle.
All of our field agents are required to pass a background check to confirm that nothing in their background raises concerns about their integrity or ability to deal with confidential data in a professional manner. If you want to pursue advanced clearance, background in law enforcement or the military is required.
A laptop computer, a printer, and a scanner, plus a high speed internet connection, will be required to do your job. We will need to inspect and certify your laptop to confirm it is free of spyware or viruses that could compromise our clients’ privacy. We also expect all of our field agents to use our patent pending scanning software technology platform to digitize the paper records retrieved for our clients.
We will provide some required training to all new field agents, which will include a HIPAA course to ensure agents are up to date on privacy requirements for medical data. There is also a questionnaire and some additional documentation to complete. Once this is done you can be issued a badge and get started as one of our contractors.
