Requirements for Becoming a CFA
A Certified Field Agent is someone who completes the task of data retrieval in various categories of documents. Though our main area of focus is retrieving medical documents from medical facilities, hospitals and medical record retention offices, CFAs at Certified Field Agent also help clients by retrieving divorce papers, will documents, bankruptcy filings, certified birth certificates, dental records, mortgage agreements, tax records, ownership titles and death certificates, among others. Plainly stated, CFAs act as an intermediary between clients and the facilities that have the documents our clients have requested.
Our Certified Field Agents have all met specific requirements and perform tasks in a timely, professional manner. There are three clearance levels that our Certified Field Agents fall under: Standard, Advanced, and Special Agent.
You may be wondering what it takes to reach each clearance level. Well, rest assured – the requirements for each clearance level are detailed below!
Standard Clearance Level
The first, most basic clearance level is Standard. This clearance level has the fewest requirements, but CFAs falling under this clearance level can still complete many tasks for Certified Field Agent. All CFAs need to be at least 18 years of age and have superior work ethic with the ability to be timely and communicate effectively. Aside from that, here are several other requirements that need to be met to obtain our Standard Clearance Level.
- Internet connection and a laptop that will need to be certified by Certified Field Agent
- A printer and scanner for documents
- A driver’s license that is valid and from the state that you reside in
- Auto insurance
- DBA and/or Corporation documentation for tax purposes
- A professional looking polo shirt and CFA badge that must be worn at all times
- Agree to use our scanning software technology platform for business tasks
- A completed background check
- You must also complete and receive a passing score on our HIPAA online training course
- Complete our questionnaire and other required documentation to apply
Advanced Clearance Level
The next level of clearance for Certified Field Agent CFAs is Advanced. This clearance level has the same requirements as the Standard Clearance, along with a few extras. To achieve this level you will need to undergo a higher level of background check and supply multiple references. You also need to have prior work experience and be retired military, FBI, police or have worked in a similar field. In addition, as well as utilizing higher technology levels, you will need to pass drug screening and have specific education levels or certifications, such as a college degree, RN, MD, or something similar.
Special Agent Clearance Level
For those that go beyond the normal clearance levels, we also have a Special Agent Clearance level. There are no set requirements for this level, and you can contact us to present your special skill set that may enable you to receive a higher clearance level and complete tasks that are more secure or specialized in nature.
